About Us

Cartel Ink was established in October 2007. This studio is an inviting, creative, clean atmosphere nestled in an old historic building in Fort Worth, TX Stockyards. The new space was created for both clients and the artists to have a more private, quiet, relaxing place for their work. The Artists, after 4 years at Cartel Ink, felt that it was time to go by appointment only to put more individual focus into each tattoo without the 'hustle & bustle' of a "set-hour" studio.

The New Studio

The new space is on the 3rd story of a beautiful historic building right off Main onto 24th St. with premium artists that will achieve any body art style you are looking for. Cartel's artists are very passionate, friendly, and are willing to help you with any questions you may have about your next tattoo. There are real artists to choose from with different art styles! Please click on the Cartel's Portfolio Gallery to check newest work from our Cartel's awesome artists. If you like a style or see an artist that you would like to contact for you next tattoo please contact us by calling the studio at 817.625.TATS(8287) or Email Us.

Chase

Chase is an published artist with a style that is focused more on realism.

Chase Tipton came from a small town in New Mexico, moving to Texas in 2006. Knowing that he wanted to own a tattoo shop in the mextroplex, he stayed focused and opened his dream shop Cartel Ink Tattoo and Skate Shop in Oct. 2007. As time progressed, he decided to stay more focused on the art and his own tattoo work, he dropped the skate shop...and Cartel became the one and only Cartel Ink Tattoo Parlor.

Chase is an published artist with a style that is focused more on realism, whether black/gray or color, he uses backgrounds to separate skin from the piece instead of hard outlines/edges, and tries to create a piece that not only he likes but that his clients will love. Chase's long history is business, owning oil businesses since he was 16, has given him complete knowledge on how to not only run his businesses effectively, but provides atmospheres that clients appreciate, and professionalism that is comparable to none.

Bry

Her work is colorful and bright but will put the same level and care into black/gray.

Bry Boyd, an artist all her life, began tattooing at the young age of 21. With love and passion for the tattoo industry, she quickly learned the medium of tattooing and within one year was creating custom pieces and started building a solid portfolio. Looking for a more positive atmosphere, Bry joined Cartel Ink in 2008.

Bry has an extensive clientelle and has such a charm to her work, she exudes confidence in everything she does. Her work is colorful and bright but will put the same level and care into black/gray....small or large pieces, she treats them all the same and has a wonderful way of making her clients feel special and at home at Cartel. Bry is easily inspired, and has a character that no one can deny...with many publications within her career, she stays focused on being one of the leading ladies in tattooing in the DFW metroplex.

Larry

Larry has a NO REGRET attitude and it continues to make his pieces stand out.

Larry Owens has been tattooing professionally for 5 years. Specializing a New School style, he loves utilizing bright colors and tend to have alot of fun doing random inanimate objects from different angles. With a unique take on tattooing, he looks at tattoos in a different way then alot of people. "Sometimes it's a good thing to live in the moment and get random tattoos without a special meaning" says Larry, "Every tattoo doesn't have to have meaning for your kids, parents, struggles....sometimes it's great to just hold a memory of a fun day or a fun time in your life!"

Larry has a NO REGRET attitude and it continues to make his pieces stand out, and shows in his unusual artwork, that makes him a brilliant artist in his genre. Larry joined Cartel Ink in late 2008, and his eye for new school, pop art, and obsession with T.V.'s within his art makes him stand out at Cartel. He is very driven and inspiring, and his clients get an fun experience in his chair.
